There are two ways to open the full settings dashboard:
The settings panel has three tabs:
The extension uses a regularly updated blocklist of known AI-image websites. When you search on Google Images, it checks each image's source domain against this blocklist. If the domain is known to host AI-generated images, the image is flagged.
Off disables all filtering. Badge adds a visible orange label to AI images so you can identify them at a glance. Dimmed fades them out (hover over an image to see it clearly). Hidden removes them entirely from the results — you will not see them at all.
New AI-image websites appear every day. The blocklist may not yet include a recently launched site. If you find an unblocked domain:
Your addition takes effect immediately and stays in your custom blacklist.
Strict mode enables a second blocklist that targets mixed platforms — sites where both human-made and AI images coexist (like Reddit, Twitter, Instagram). Only specific AI-related pages or accounts on these platforms are blocked, not the entire site. Turn it on if you want more thorough filtering.
There are three ways:
example.com or *.example.com), and click "Add".Yes. Go to Settings → Custom Blocklist, find the domain in your list, and click the "Delete" button next to it. The change applies immediately.
Go to Settings → Custom Blocklist. Use "Import" to load a file (JSON, CSV, or plain text — one domain per line). Use "Export JSON" or "Export CSV" to save your current list. This is useful for backing up your list or moving it to another device.
By default, the blocklist updates every 6 hours. You can change this in Settings → Blacklist Sources (1, 6, 12, or 24 hours). You can also click "Refresh Now" to pull the latest list immediately.
Yes. The extension works on all Google search domains worldwide — google.com, google.de, google.co.jp, google.fr, and every other regional variant. Wherever you search, it has you covered.
No. All detection happens locally in your browser. The extension only fetches the public blocklist from its source to stay up to date. It does not track your searches, collect your browsing history, or send any data anywhere.
We want to be upfront with you. Behind this extension are real costs — keeping the blocklist up to date as new AI-image sites appear daily, maintaining the detection engine so it keeps working as Google updates its pages, and providing support when you run into problems. The subscription helps cover these ongoing costs so we can keep improving your experience.
We offer a free trial so you can experience everything before deciding. Your support directly funds faster updates, better accuracy, and reliable service.
If the extension suddenly stops detecting images or the popup shows no stats, try these steps in order:
The extension only works on Google Image search results pages. Make sure the URL starts with google. and contains /search with the Images tab selected. It does not work on the Google homepage, text search, or other websites.
Press F5 or click the refresh button in your browser. Google loads images dynamically, and a simple refresh often resolves detection issues.
Open the extension popup and make sure the mode is not set to "Off". If it is, switch to Badge, Dimmed, or Hidden.
Open Chrome's extension management page (click the puzzle icon 🧩 in the toolbar → "Manage extensions"), find "Remove AI Images from Google Search", and click the refresh icon on its card. Then reload your Google search tab.
If the problem persists, remove the extension and install it again from the Chrome Web Store. Your custom blacklist settings may be lost during reinstallation, so export your list first if possible.
